Master Good Habits

May 15, 2026
Social Media:

Greetings,

Welcome to this week's newsletter on habits. Today, we will be focusing on quotes from James Clear's book titled, "ATOMIC HABITS".

  • Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results
  • An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
  • Self-help book on habit formation published October 2018 A.D.

Quote #1:

"The most practical way to change who you are is to change what you do."

Quote #2:

"The process of behavior change always starts with awareness. You need to be aware of your habits before you change them."

Quote #3:

"Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become."

Quote #4:

"One of the most practical ways to eliminate a bad habit is to reduce exposure to the cue that causes it."

Quote #5:

"The quality of your habits is the quality of your life."

In LATIN, the word habit comes from HABITUS meaning "a state of being or condition". HABITUS comes from the verb HABERE meaning "to have", "to hold", "to posess". Basically, habits are qualities/traits/behaviours that one possesses. Our goal is to master good habits. Thankfully, habits are fixable, correctable, and interchangeable. Progress over perfection and allow room for frustration as you build the "new" you.

Kindly,
